Life, Never the Ideal Path

Kids are tucked into bed. Wife is waiting upstairs for me to watch a show before she dozes off. Dishes are still waiting for the dishwasher to finish and my cat is looking at me with that, “pet me…don’t pet me” look. The day has raced by, many thoughts, tidbits read (The Fifth Discipline), walked to the local post office, purchased some everything bagels, etc., etc., etc. While I wanted to write something deep based on all that I’ve read today, I have nothing of substance beyond,

Be kind and empathetic to yourself, always.

Tomorrow will bring another abundance of sun to illuminate learning, living, and accepting that life never takes the ideal path AND that is good if you can appreciate the chaos.

I better get upstairs before I get in trouble.
