Go with the flow
I find that the opposite of active control is being in flow. Often when I find myself over-controlling simple things, the enjoyment and adventure for those around me decreases. Typically, I fear an outcome so I do less listening and observation, and with less input all this control backfires. Control in turn makes me and those around me experience less enjoyment. I really really really don't like making other people miserable, which is weird because I tend to serve others before caring for myself.
So, seek flow, not control. This means, empathetically listen and observe yourself and others with an open mind
Find more flow. Find more joy.
Control for fear. Lead by fear.
With energy,
sD
